More Progress

    Have you ever had a character show up earlier than you intended in something you were writing? It's like they have a mind of their own, and they've decided that now is as good a time as any to introduce themselves. I had that happen with not one, but two characters in Mars while I was writing chapter two. Both of them will be major characters later on, but they decided they needed to make an appearance before then.

    Also, I have a confession. I have several characters that I originally intended to be likable that, in development, I have started to hate and several who were supposed to be unimportant that have wormed their way in and made themselves more important. Ah, creative process.

In the interest of shameless self promotion, here is the first peak at the art of Mars at Opposition, although this one is the watermarked, preview version. This will eventually be available as a full size poster, once the project is further underway.

Distribution Notes and A Blurb

I've worked out more details about the distribution of Mars At Opposition. The first portion of the project to be made available will be the novel. There will be a free version available to read and download for anyone who wants it, and also a paid version packed with extras, including concept art, a mini art-book, and bonus information about the characters that can be bought to support the project. Right now, the publishing tool I'm considering for the paid e-book and print-to-order hard copy is Lulu.

It's also possible that there will be products available featuring the official art that will also be made available, and there will definitely be at least one poster released, that can be "Official ordered" to support the project or you can download the print it at home version that will be available to promote the project.

The Game is Afoot!

I'm in the early stages of writing an audio drama titled Mars at Opposition, and a corresponding novel. The audio drama will be made available for free for anyone who wants to listen and enjoy the story. I'm not yet sure how I'll be distributing the novelized version. It will be accompanied by a poster, a trailer, and cover art, at the very least. More on the plot and the characters will be revealed as I work out the finer details. For now, I'll be blogging here about the progress of the project.
